Embryos are innocent beings who cannot defend themselves against the lustful, Godless fornicators who would destroy them merely out of convenience. I've tried to guide some of these evildoers towards the path to righteousness, but, alas, some are just too strongly influenced by the powers of Satan

I see no reason why all of this "debate" should be limited to Christianity.

Christians are hypocrites. It's no suprise that George Walker Bush, a "newborn Christian" declares an illegal war and has tens of thousands of people die for his Oil Administration, while claiming that fetuses have a right to live.

I am against the death penalty. One of the reasons for this is that you can almost guarantee that an innocent person will be killed, and once that happens, you would have indirectly killed an innocent person because you are the state.

“If you support the death penalty and only one single innocent person is killed and killing an innocent person is murder then you become a murderer so, you also deserve to be killed. This is the paradox of the death penalty and you cannot avoid this paradox.”

Then there is the question’s why this person on death row, why did this person kill, will this person kill again? People aren’t just evil or good there will always be a reason, though it may be a very bad reason. (Trying to make a point can they be rehabilitated?)

Should society take revenge for us?

Is killing another human being especially when we have other options right?

In the country where I come from the maximum sentence possible is 21 years (emphasis is put on rehabilitation). The exception is when you have someone whom has done something really wrong like killing someone and there is a clear danger that this person will re-offend. Then they may be sentenced to preventive detention.

“Preventive detention is a special sanction that can be applied when a person has committed a serious crime and there is a risk of him or her re-offending. Detention is different from an ordinary prison sentence. The goal is to help persons sentenced to preventive detention to change their behavior and enable them to lead a life outside prison.

This sanction is the only penalty that is imposed for an indefinite period of time. However, the court must set a time limit for preventive detention. The court should set a minimum time limit, which must not exceed ten years. The minimum time limit is significant for when inmates can apply for release on parole. The court must set a maximum time limit that should not exceed 15 years and that must not exceed 21 years. The person sentenced to preventive detention may be reassessed when the term of preventive detention expires. If the court concludes that there is a risk of the person re-offending, the penalty may be extended by up to five years at a time. There is no maximum limit for preventive detention, which means that it can be a life sentence.

In principle, persons sentenced to preventive detention must be placed in a unit that is specially designed for convicted persons with special needs.

When a preventive detainee is released on parole, comprehensive conditions can be set, such as monitoring by the probation service and provisions regarding whereabouts, place of work, education and a ban on alcohol consumption. Certain preventive detainees will, when released on parole, need even more extensive care and control measures. This may the case for preventive detainees who are slightly mentally disabled or have a mental illness or drug or alcohol problems, and who may require round-the-clock supervision” under special care and control. Some individuals in this group may be required to stay in sheltered municipal housing with a 24-hour staff.”

Oh and I am for the right to have an abortion and I think that stem cell research should be legal.
